Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and LAS JEFITAS LLC, an Oregon limited liability company doing business as Las Jefitas ("Las Jefitas," "we," "us"). They govern your use of lasjefitas.com, book.cleaning, any booking page we operate on behalf of a cleaning business (including pages served at a business's own domain), our text-message and email notifications, and our mobile and web applications (together, the "Service"). By using the Service, booking an appointment, or creating an account, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Las Jefitas is appointment-scheduling software for independent house cleaning businesses. We provide each participating business with a booking page, a calendar, and automated appointment notifications. Homeowners use the Service to request and manage cleaning appointments with the business they choose.

We do not provide cleaning services. Cleaning is performed by independent businesses that are solely responsible for their work, pricing, personnel, insurance, and licensing. Las Jefitas is not a party to the service agreement between a homeowner and a cleaning business, is not an employer or agent of any cleaning business, and does not supervise, direct, or control the cleaning work.

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Service. Business accounts are verified by a one-time code sent to the account phone number or email address; you are responsible for keeping access to that number or address secure and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly at [email protected] if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization.

A booking request is not confirmed until the cleaning business accepts it. Prices, service scope, arrival windows, cancellation rules, and any cancellation fees are set by the cleaning business, not by Las Jefitas. Homeowners may change or cancel through the management link included in every appointment message. Disputes about a cleaning appointment, its quality, or its price are between the homeowner and the cleaning business; we will provide booking records on request to help resolve them.

The Service is free for homeowners. We never charge homeowners booking fees, membership fees, or cancellation fees. Cleaning businesses may use a free plan or a paid subscription; current pricing is shown at lasjefitas.com. Paid subscriptions bill monthly in advance through our payment processor, renew automatically, and may be cancelled at any time, effective at the end of the current billing period. Fees already paid are not refundable except where required by law. We will give at least 30 days' notice before a price change affecting an existing subscription.

You agree not to use the Service to send unlawful, harassing, deceptive, or unsolicited messages; to upload phone numbers or contact information you did not collect with proper consent; to scrape, overload, reverse engineer, or interfere with the Service; to impersonate another person or business; or to violate any applicable law, including the Telephone Consumer Protection Act and carrier messaging rules. Cleaning businesses are responsible for the accuracy of the business information they publish through the Service. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of this section.

Program name: Las Jefitas Appointment Notifications.

Program description. Las Jefitas sends transactional text messages about cleaning appointments: one-time phone verification codes, booking confirmations, appointment reminders, schedule changes and cancellations, and — for cleaning business owners — new-booking alerts and account login codes. This program does not send marketing or promotional messages.

How you opt in. Homeowners opt in by checking an unchecked consent box on the booking form and then entering a one-time code we text to the number provided; no messages other than that verification code are sent until the code is confirmed. Business owners opt in during account onboarding by agreeing to the same disclosure. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services.

Message frequency. Message frequency varies based on your appointments — typically two to four messages per booking.

Cost. Message and data rates may apply according to your mobile carrier plan. Las Jefitas does not charge for text messages.

How to opt out. Reply STOP — or CANCEL, END, QUIT, UNSUBSCRIBE, OPTOUT, STOPALL, REVOKE, or the Spanish keywords ALTO or PARAR — to any message to stop receiving texts. You will receive one final message confirming the opt-out, and no further messages will be sent. Reply START (or EMPEZAR) to opt back in. You can still book by phone or on the web after opting out, and appointment notices will fall back to email where an address is on file.

How to get help. Reply HELP (or AYUDA) to any message, email [email protected], or visit lasjefitas.com/sms-terms.

Carriers. Supported carriers include AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, and most other U.S. carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Links in messages. Messages may contain links to lasjefitas.com pages for managing your appointment. We do not use public URL shorteners.

Your phone number and consent records are handled as described in our Privacy Policy. A dedicated summary of this program is also published at lasjefitas.com/sms-terms, and the opt-in flow is documented with a screenshot at lasjefitas.com/sms-optin.

Our Privacy Policy explains what information we collect and how we use it, and is incorporated into these Terms. No mobile information is shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes, and text messaging opt-in data and consent are never shared with third parties.

The Service, including its software, design, and the Las Jefitas name and marks, belongs to LAS JEFITAS LLC. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive licence to use the Service as intended. Content a cleaning business uploads — business name, logo, photographs, service descriptions, and client records — remains that business's property; the business grants us the licence needed to display and operate it within the Service, and may export or delete it at any time.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any message will be delivered on time or at all — message delivery depends on mobile carriers and other third parties outside our control. We do not endorse, guarantee, or assume responsibility for the services performed by any cleaning business.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, LAS JEFITAS LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or property damage arising from or related to the Service or any cleaning appointment. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or one hundred U.S. dollars. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless LAS JEFITAS LLC and its members, officers, and contractors from claims, damages, and reasonable legal fees arising out of your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, your violation of any law or third-party right, or — for cleaning businesses — the services you perform and the messages you send through the Service.

You may stop using the Service at any time, and a business may cancel its subscription from account settings. We may suspend or terminate access if these Terms are violated, if required by law or by our carriers, or if we discontinue the Service. On termination, a business may export its client and booking records; we retain consent and messaging records as described in the Privacy Policy.

We may update these Terms. The effective date at the top of this page always reflects the current version, and we will give notice of material changes by email or text to account holders before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. The state and federal courts located in Clackamas County, Oregon have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, and you and we consent to that jurisdiction.
